Surveying Services

Explore our range of professional surveying services, each designed to provide detailed insights on your future purchase.

HomeBuyers  Survey - Level 2

This is the most popular type of residential survey for homebuyers. Provides a detailed, objective overview of the home’s condition, without the invasive checks or extra depth of a Level 3 (Building Survey).

A Level 2 Survey is usually best for homes that:

  • Are fairly standard houses, flats or bungalows,

  • Were built within the last 130 years,

  • Haven’t had major or complex structural changes or extensions.

Building Survey - Level 3

A Level 3 survey (often called a Building or Structural Survey) is the most comprehensive type of property inspection. It provides an in-depth look at the building’s condition, structure and materials, highlighting potential defects, and their likely causes.

A Level 3 survey is strongly recommended if you are buying a property that is:

  • Older (typically over 50 years old),

  • Of non-standard construction or significantly altered,

  • In obvious poor condition or showing signs of disrepair,

  • A property where you are planning extensive renovation works.

Level 2 HomeBuyers Survey - Wickford

During this Level 2 Home Survey, we identified previously removed spray foam insulation within the roof void, an extension with no documented planning permission, and an off-mains drainage system requiring further enquiries. Findings such as these highlight the value of obtaining a professional survey before committing to a property purchase.

Level 3 Building Survey - Basildon

Our detailed Level 3 Building Survey revealed concerns relating to the property's electrical installation, a potential rodent infestation and the presence of suspected asbestos-containing materials. By highlighting these issues before purchase, our client was able to fully understand the potential risks and future costs involved.
